The Memphis Red Sox was a memeber of various Negro Leagues from 1924 until the Leagues disbanded. The team shared one league championship with the Atlanta Black Crackers in 1938. At that time, the team was managed by a legendary Negro Leagues former player, Ted "Double Duty" Radcliffe.
